Just to provide a summary: In the previous version (2,12 assuming I have to fly from KSFO to WSSS I will input WSSS and select the runway i want to land and I will just follow the white dotted line in my boeing 777-200 cockpit and when i about near 7 (or) 8 nm from airport I can be assured that I will see the airport in few minutes and I am flying in correct direction. (I want to fly manually without using auto pilot). Pls advise as to how to steer the aircraft in the correct direction(Towards the route I select in Route Manager). I even downloaded the GIT version of Boeing 787 dreamliner but even that doesn't seem to display the route and the only info that it provides is the traffic near me. It only displays a pink dotted line towards a fixed direction(irrespective of the route or airport I enter in route manager). However two days back my linux distribution (opensuse to be specific) offered an upgrade to flightgear 3.0 and after updating in the new cockpit the route is not displayed and the screen which displays the TCAS doesnt seem to change even after I input the route in route manager. I have been using flightgear 2.12 and was mostly flying boeing 777-200 being one of my facvourite aircraft since it has a cockpit display which constantly displays which direction should I fly based on my input in the route manager.
